About bioregulator peptide research

Bioregulators are ultra-short peptides developed in the Khavinson research program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. The literature studies them as tissue-specific signaling molecules: each sequence is investigated against one organ system's gene expression profile. Pinealon (Glu-Asp-Arg) is studied in CNS and circadian models. Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is the most cited of the class, appearing in telomerase and pineal research spanning three decades.
