A long-acting amylin analogue studied for satiety signaling, appetite, body-weight regulation, and metabolic research.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.
Research overview
Cagrilintide is a lipidated, long-acting analogue of amylin, a pancreatic hormone involved in satiety and energy balance. It activates amylin and calcitonin receptors rather than the GLP-1 receptor.
Research focuses on how this receptor system influences food intake and body-weight regulation. Cagrilintide has been studied on its own in randomized human trials, and separately as the amylin component of CagriSema alongside semaglutide.
Dedicated phase 3 studies are underway, but cagrilintide remains investigational and is not FDA-approved.
