What form your peptides ship in

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Curo research peptides ship as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder sealed in a glass vial. If you were expecting a ready-to-use liquid, the powder is normal and correct. This article explains why peptides ship this way and what the format means for you.

Curo products are for Research Use Only and are not intended for human or animal use.

Why freeze-dried

Lyophilization removes water from the peptide under low temperature and vacuum, leaving a dry solid. Peptides in solution are far less stable than peptides in dry form, so drying is what protects the material during storage and transit.

A dry powder resists the degradation that a liquid would face across days of shipping and weeks in storage. It is also the reason your vial can travel in ambient conditions and still arrive intact. The stability is built into the format.

What arrives, and what it looks like

Inside the vial is a small amount of solid peptide. Depending on the compound and the fill, it can look like a compact pellet, a thin cake at the bottom, a light film on the glass, or a fine dusting that is easy to miss. All of these are normal. A small quantity of a high-purity peptide does not fill much space.

The vial is sealed under vacuum or under a nitrogen fill to keep oxygen and moisture away from the material during storage. That is why the seal may feel different from a food or beverage container. There is more on that in why your vial may not have a strong vacuum.

It needs reconstitution before use

The powder is a storage and shipping format, not a working one. Before a study can use the peptide, it has to be reconstituted, which means bringing it back into solution with a compatible solvent. Until then it stays dry and sealed in the freezer.

The two steps that follow delivery are storage and reconstitution:
