Why your vial may not have a strong vacuum

If you opened a vial expecting a firm hiss of vacuum and did not get one, nothing is wrong. Research vials do not behave like food or beverage containers, and a faint vacuum, or none you can detect, is normal and expected. Here is why.

Two reasons the vacuum feels weak
We keep the internal pressure low on purpose. A strong vacuum makes the peptide harder to get back out of the vial at reconstitution. Too much negative pressure fights you when you add solvent and again when you draw the solution off. Curo keeps the pressure low enough to work with, which means the seal does not feel dramatic when you pierce it.
Some products are sealed under nitrogen instead of a vacuum. Either approach does the same job. The point of the seal is not to pressurize the vial. It is to remove the traces of oxygen that would slowly degrade the material over long storage. A nitrogen fill displaces that oxygen just as a vacuum removes it.
So a vial can be sealed correctly and still open quietly. The absence of a sharp release is not a sign of a lost seal.
Where seal integrity is actually confirmed
The feel of the seal is not the test. Seal integrity is confirmed analytically and recorded on each lot's Certificate of Analysis, not judged by hand.

The takeaway
A weak or absent vacuum is a handling choice and a preservation method, not a defect. The dry powder inside is protected by the oxygen-free environment the seal creates, however that environment was made. If you ever want certainty about a specific vial, the lot-specific COA is the source of truth.
