Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from tuftsin, an immune-modulating peptide, and is best known in neuropeptide research for stress-response and cognition models. It is often discussed near Semax, but its research identity is more centered on mood, stress signaling, and neurochemical regulation.
Mechanistic research points to GABAergic signaling, enkephalin metabolism, monoamine systems, and BDNF-linked pathways. Study interest includes anxiety-like behavior models, cognitive performance, stress adaptation, and immune-neural signaling.
